Binghamton, NY – In supporting Gigabit data transfer over polymer fiber, ELII is introducing two polymer cable assemblies. Both are capable of delivering 1.25 Gbps signal over POF up to 30 meters. The wire used is a 1 mm core Graded Index (GI) POF. These assemblies are intended to mate with the respective pcb mount connectors also introduced by ELII.
Both connectors have the same features with the exception in the latching mechanism. The Gigabit SMI has a friction latch where the IDB has a snap type latching for a more positive retention
