Binghamton, NY - Electronic Links International Inc. (ELII), with headquarters in Binghamton, New York, USA, and Knowledge Development for POF, S.L (KDPOF), with headquarters in Madrid, Spain, have signed a joint agreement whereby ELII will be manufacturing Ethernet Media Converters based on KDPOF’s newly developed Gigabit Ethernet POF transceiver chip.
The converter delivers 1 Gbps of data over 50 meters of standard PMMA duplex wire and complies with the recently published 1 Gbps over POF norm DIN VDE v 0885-763.
Both Mr. Oscar Ciordia, Marketing Director of KDPOF, and Francesco Liburdi, Founder/CEO of Electronic Links International Inc., agree that this new product should facilitate the proliferation of POF technology with all its related advantages in the commercial market.
