POF Technology and Applications Pavilion
POFTO is also organizing a POF Technology and Applications Pavilion where companies will demonstrate their products and technologies during the show. Attendees can bring their problems and receive design advice on POF solutions from industry experts.
Plastic Optical Fiber Trade Organization has been assigned exhibit space # 2733, which is 1000 square feet. You may review the location of your exhibit space by clicking on the following link: http://www.expocadweb.com/OFC12/ec/forms/attendee/indexTab.aspx

Williamsburg, VA (June 17, 2011). With more than ten years of experience in Plastic Optical Fiber (POF)/Plastic Coated Fiber (PCF) Cables and assembling. LEONI Fiber Optics stands ready to meet the steadily growing demand for customized infrastructure cables and assemblies used in wind turbines and solar plants offering newly developed: Optical Fiber (POF, PCF, HCS, Glass) for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
Polymer optical fibers (POF) have been on the market for many years. Both the fiber core and the cladding are made of polymer. Key advantages of polymer optical fibers are high flexibility (high alternate bending resistance with smaller bending radii) as well as more economical connecting and transmission technology than in the case of glass.
POF-PLUS, an EU sponsored research consortium backed by some of Europe’s largest telecom operators, including France Telecom and Telecom Italia, will present at OFC 2011 results of its research into and development of new commercially viable technologies for transmission at Gigabit speeds over Plastic Optical Fiber (POF).
