We are pleased to announce the 34th International Conference on Plastic Optical Fibers (POF 2026), which will take place from September 29 to October 1, 2026, in Nuremberg, Germany.

Since 1992, the POF conferences series is the leading scientific event on all aspects of plastic optical fibers and polymeric optical waveguides, from latest scientific developments to leading-edge industrial applications. In cooperation with the International Cooperative of Plastic Optical Fibers (ICPOF), in 2026 the conference will be organized locally by the Polymer Optical Fiber Application Center (POF-AC). At the same time, the 25th anniversary of the POF-AC will be celebrated, which was founded in 2001 at Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm.
The venue will be the Ohm Innovation Center (OIC), a modern facility for research and events. It is located close to the historic city center of Nuremberg, a city full of cultural heritage and history.
In addition, a workshop on integrated planar optical waveguides is planned for October 2, 2026, as a satellite event to the conference.
