Binghamton, NY – March 5, 2010 - Electronic Links International, Inc. today announces the introduction of a preliminary release of an optical switch, an optical wall plate, and supporting hybrid cable. The system supports three networks per outlet, (triple play switch has three Gbit interfaces with direct connection to the glass fiber via one SFP MSA port, two 1000 base-T RJ45 ports, and eight plug less POF ports. Each POF port can deliver TV / Video on Demand, Internet, and telephony from the multimedia wall connection from the switch to the client connection can be done via 10/100/1000 Base T Cat 5 cable or for FTTH, the client connection can be done via 1000Base-SX Mini-GBIC module.
Both the POF Switch and North American Multimedia Wall Socket will be on display at the POF Applications Center @ OFC/NFOEC 2010 located at Booth 1151, March 23-25, 2010, at the San Diego Convention Center.
