They are typically used for providing high speed POF for computers with USB ports. They are simple plug-and-play fast Ethernet connection. The USB connector on the adapters can be type A or B, and the POF side of the adapter can have the SMI connector or a plug less connector. They are offered in two colors: white for receiving the 1.5 mm cable, and black for receiving the 2.2 mm cable. The optical port has a data rate of 100 Mbps with a transmission length of 50m.
