Paul Mulligan, member of the Board of Directors of POFTO, attended the 2009 Sensors Expo and Conference, held at the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, June 9th-10th. Attendance was down but booth traffic was brisk. Paul reported that there was interest in POF but engineers were not familiar with the technology. this is a reoccurring theme at all trade shows attended by POFTO. We still have along way to go to get to the point that POF is considered at the same time copper wire, coax, and multimode glass fiber are considered in initial design decisions. |
